A conversation between Timbil Budiarto, member of Lifepatch – citizen initiative for art, science and technology, a multidisciplinary community that invites its members and anyone interested, to investigate their surroundings through DIY and DIWO (Do It With Others) approaches; and Radjawali Irendra, a data scientist and activist from Komunitas Drone DIY (“DIY Drone Community”), who uses self-made drones in collaboration with local and indigenous communities to support environmental struggles, contextualizing the violence of resource extraction in Indonesia. Together they discussed their respective practices as well as alternative approaches to technology in struggles for social and ecological justice. The discussion was moderated by Alec Steadman (Struggles for Sovereignty).
