Basim Magdy

Basim Magdy (born in 1977, Asyut) is an artist who works with film, moving image, photography, text, painting, drawing, installation and sculpture. His films were exhibited and screened in museums (such as Tate Modern, MoMA, Centre Pompidou, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, MAXXI, New Museum) and at film festivals (such as International Film Festival Rotterdam, New York Film Festival, CPH:DOX and Locarno Film Festival, among many others). He lives and works in Basel.
