Sekolah Tani Muda

Sekolah Tani Muda (SEKTIMUDA, or “Young Farmer School”, Yogyakarta) was established in 2014 as a platform where young people can collectively learn about agriculture. The initiative began from a shared concern about the decreasing number of young farmers in Indonesia, particularly in Yogyakarta. With an approach rooted in kinship, SEKTIMUDA studies a wide variety of farming methods together, from land cultivation and farming to experimenting with alternative economic models relating to food.
