The very first day of ‘The World is Our Household!’ FORUM began with an introduction by members of SFS, followed by the first two sessions with our ‘Forum Partners’: Lian Gogali & Institut Mosintuwu (Poso, Central Sulawesi, ID); Sakiya – Art | Science | Agriculture (Ein Qiniya, Ramallah, Palestine); Yurni Sadariah & AMAN PEREMPUAN (Rangan, East Kalimantan, ID); and Zenzi Suhadi (Bengkulu, Sumatera, ID).
In the first session, “Struggling in Context”, each partner shared about the context and territory they are working with/in, the issues they face, and gave an overview of their organization and community. The second session of the day, “Sharing Methodologies: Preserving, Learning and Regenerating Traditional Knowledge Systems”, allowed a more detailed look at the methodologies each partner uses to create places for preserving, learning and regenerating traditional knowledge systems.
